Doernbecher 100 Birthday Toolkit

Join in the celebration as we honor OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital’s 100th birthday.

OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital is celebrating its 100th birthday this year, and we want you to join in the festivities!

In 1921, Frank Doernbecher left an estate gift of $200,000 for his children to use “for the benefit of the people of the state of Oregon.” With the funds, they built Oregon’s first children’s hospital, which opened its doors in 1926. Today, Doernbecher is one of the premiere pediatric heath care centers in the country.

For 100 years, Doernbecher has provided care to every child and family that needs it. And the hospital has been able to do that because of community support. People like you, who organize events, sell lemonade, collect blankets and books — the creativity and generosity are nothing short of amazing.

A century of care is the perfect opportunity to support Doernbecher. Here’s a special Doernbecher 100 Birthday Kit to get your fundraiser started! Are you throwing your own birthday party? Hosting a backyard barbeque? Planning a neighborhood get-together, pickleball tournament or dinner party? Use the assets and messaging in this digital toolkit to add a little Doernbecher birthday flair to your gathering, spread awareness of Doernbecher’s milestone or encourage your guests to support.
