Support the Vista Pavilion
Help accelerate access to advanced inpatient care at the region’s only public academic health center
OHSU’s new Vista Pavilion opened its doors to patients on April 7, 2026. As the first step in the OHSU Hospital Expansion Project (see below), the Vista Pavilion is a 500,000+-square-foot, 14-floor addition to OHSU Hospital that will help alleviate Oregon’s hospital capacity crisis, improve access to the region’s highest level of health care services and keep pace with regional growth.
The Vista Pavilion will initially offer 128 beds dedicated to patients requiring advanced cancer treatments such as stem cell transplants, CAR T cell therapy and complex surgical procedures at the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute. Future project stages will include designated spaces for cancer intensive care, diagnostic imaging, interventional radiology, brachytherapy and other services. Designed with input from patients and staff, the building will play a key role in OHSU’s vision to transform the care experience at the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center between Seattle and Sacramento.
“This is going to be a resource that benefits generations of Oregonians.”
— Shereef Elnahal, M.D., M.B.A., OHSU President

The Vista Pavilion is part of the OHSU Hospital Expansion Project, a multiphase plan to increase its capacity to meet the most urgent needs of patients requiring the highest levels of care, not only for cancer but also for cardiovascular disease, neurological disorders and other complex conditions. The expansion will give Oregon and southwest Washington residents more timely access to advanced treatments, many of which are available nowhere else in the region.

“I’m most excited about what this means for our patients. This may be the first place where they start their care. We want to make this a warm, welcoming environment where they can start that journey.”
— Brian Druker, M.D.
