About the presenter:
Benjamin K. Young, M.D., M.S., grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. He obtained a combined bachelor’s and master’s degree in chemistry at the University of Pennsylvania as a Roy Vagelos Molecular Life Sciences Scholar. Young completed medical school at Brown University, followed by an ophthalmology residency at Yale University, where he also served as chief resident. At the University of Michigan, he completed a fellowship in adult and pediatric vitreoretinal surgery, supported by a Heed Ophthalmic Fellowship. Young is now a clinician-scientist at OHSU Casey Eye Institute, focusing on quantitative techniques and complex image analysis for retinal disease.
