Donor Advised Funds
Making a grant to OHSU from your donor advised fund (DAF) is a powerful way to invest in OHSU's mission.

What is a Donor Advised Fund?
A donor advised fund (DAF) is a type of charitable giving account that gives donors the flexibility to give assets to the account now, receiving an immediate tax deduction, with the ability to recommend grants to charities like OHSU and OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital over time. Donors can make a one-time grant or set up the fund to provide recurring support.

Put your DAF to work
Did you know that philanthropy directed to OHSU has led to some of the most important and groundbreaking advances of our time in fields such as cancer, vaccine development and neuroscience? For example, philanthropy played a crucial role in the development of Gleevec, a groundbreaking targeted cancer therapy that has saved and improved lives, thanks to initial funding for cutting-edge, early-stage research and clinical trials. Your contributions will also help OHSU remain a national leader in health care innovation, providing top-tier medical care and pioneering new treatments and technologies to improve patient outcomes and care. DAF grants can also help support education of the next generation, from medical and nursing schools to public health and biomedical sciences.
