Scholarship Spotlight
Linda Felver, Ph.D., RN, a longtime faculty member in the OHSU School of Nursing, created the John Felver Scholarship for Advanced Practice Nursing Students to address critical funding gaps for nursing graduate students. It supports students enrolled in one of three Doctor of Nursing Practice programs at the OHSU School of Nursing’s Portland campus:
- Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
- Family Nurse Practitioner
- Nurse Midwifery
The scholarship is named for Felver’s son, John, who hoped to endow a scholarship of his own before his career in college athletics was cut short by behavioral variant frontotemporal dementia.
